The Trigg County Wildcats soccer team scored 10 points and limited the visiting Mayfield Cardinals to 0 in the Wildcats non-league victory on Monday.
Next, the Wildcats face the Lyon County Lyons (Eddyville, KY) in a District 5 contest, on Tuesday, September 19. Trigg County will attempt to better on its 12-2 season record. The Lyons enter the contest with a 8-5 record after their 9-1 league win over Crittenden County (Marion, KY).
The Cardinals now have a 2-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Marshall County for a District 2 contest on Tuesday, September 19. Mayfield will face a Marshals team coming off a 5-0 league win over Graves County (Mayfield, KY). The Marshals record now stands at 11-2.
