The Central Lions softball team scored 16 runs and limited the host Southeast Whitfield County Raiders to 0 in the Lions league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, Central improves its record to 11-8 on the year. The Lions host Sonoraville (Calhoun, GA) to clash with the Phoenix in a 4A Region 7 game on Tuesday, September 19. The Phoenix come into the game with a record of 12-5. Sonoraville won 4-2 in their recent league game against Cedartown (Cedartown, GA)

In their next game, the Raiders clash with the Heritage Generals (Ringgold, GA) in a 4A Region 7 game, on Tuesday, September 19. Southeast Whitfield County will attempt to improve on its 2-12 season record. The Generals come into the game with a 13-2 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Horizon (Thornton, CO).
