Discovery Canyon Thunder (Colorado Springs, CO) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Lewis-Palmer Rangers (Monument, CO), 10-2 in a league challenge.

The Thunder now own a 10-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Palmer Ridge for a 4A Pikes Peak challenge on Wednesday, September 20. Discovery Canyon will face a Bears squad coming off a 5-4 league loss to Cheyenne Mountain (Colorado Springs, CO). The Bears record now stands at 10-8.

With the loss, Lewis-Palmer falls to 8-8 on the campaign. The Rangers travel to Air Academy (US Air Force Academy, CO) to face the Kadets in a 4A Pikes Peak challenge on Wednesday, September 20. The Kadets enter the challenge with a record of 10-5. Air Academy lost 12-3 in their recent league challenge against Lutheran (Parker, CO)
