Prince Avenue Christian Wolverines (Athens, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Winder-Barrow Bulldoggs (Winder, GA), 8-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Wolverines now own a 19-0 record. They take the field next when they host Oglethorpe County for a 1A D-I Region 5 challenge on Tuesday, September 19. Prince Avenue Christian will face a Patriots squad coming off a 8-0 league loss to Social Circle (Social Circle, GA). The Patriots record now stands at 2-12.

With the loss, Winder-Barrow falls to 7-8 on the campaign. The Bulldoggs travel to Heritage (Conyers, GA) to face the Patriots in a 5A Region 8 challenge on Tuesday, September 19. The Patriots enter the challenge with a record of 8-6. Heritage won 12-0 in their recent league challenge against Clarke Central (Athens, GA)
