The Ariton Purple Cats volleyball team scored 26 points and limited the visiting Goshen Eagles to 24 in the Purple Cats non-league victory on Monday.
The Purple Cats now possess a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Barbour County for a 2A Area 4 game on Tuesday, September 19. Ariton will meet a Jaguars team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Pike Liberal Arts (Troy, AL). The Jaguars record now stands at 0-7.
The Eagles (2-12) will now prepare for their game against Zion Chapel (Jack, AL). The Rebels enter the 2A Area 5 game with a 4-8 record. In their last game, Zion Chapel was dropped by Luverne (Luverne, AL), 3-0, in a league game.
