The crowd at Monday's non-league bout between the Auburn Eagles (Riner, VA) and the visiting Eastern Montgomery Mustangs (Elliston, VA), saw Auburn's volleyball squad beat Eastern Montgomery by a tally of 3-0.

With the win, Auburn upgrades its record to 11-1 on the year. The Eagles host George Wythe (Wytheville, VA) to play the Maroons in a Mountain Empire bout on Thursday, September 21. The Maroons go into the bout with a record of 4-5. George Wythe won 3-1 in their recent non-league bout against Graham (Bluefield, VA)

The Mustangs now own a 3-6 record. They play next when they host Narrows for a Pioneer bout on Tuesday, September 19. Eastern Montgomery will play a Green Waves squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Bland County (Rocky Gap, VA). The Green Waves record now stands at 1-6.
