The Challenger Firebirds volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the host Long Shoals Wesleyan Academy Crusaders to 1 in the Firebirds league victory on Monday.

The Firebirds now have a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to The Master's Academy for a Western Piedmont Athletic game on Tuesday, September 19. Challenger will confront a Lions team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Veritas Christian Academy (Arden, NC). The Lions record now stands at 4-6.

The Crusaders (0-7) will now prepare for their game against Community Christian Academy (Bessemer City, NC). The Warriors enter the Western Piedmont Athletic game with a 2-8 record. In their last game, Community Christian Academy dropped by Veritas Christian Academy (Arden, NC), 3-0, in a league game.
