The Sumrall Bobcats held off the host East Marion Eagles volleyball team by a score of 3-2 in Monday's non-league test.
The Bobcats now have a 10-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lawrence County for a Class 4 Region 6 test on Tuesday, September 19. Sumrall will confront a Cougars team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Salem (Tylertown, MS). The Cougars record now stands at 9-6.
The Eagles (15-5) will now prepare for their test against Columbia (Columbia, MS). The Wildcats enter the non-league test with a 7-10 record. In their last test, Columbia was nudged by West Marion (Foxworth, MS), 3-0, in a non-league test.
