In Monday's non-league battle, the host Lake Hornets volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Raleigh Lions.

The Hornets (12-6) will now prepare for their battle against Scott Central (Forest, MS). The Rebels come into the Class 2 Region 5 battle with a 1-9 record. In their last battle, Scott Central went down by Clarkdale (Meridian, MS), 3-2, in a league battle.

Next, the Lions encounter the Puckett Wolves (Puckett, MS) in a Class 2 Region 6 battle, on Tuesday, September 19. Raleigh will attempt to move on its 3-12 season record. The Wolves come into the battle with a 3-11 record after their 3-0 league loss to Pisgah (Sandhill, MS).
