In Monday's non-league battle, the host Pine Grove Cardinals volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the Shamokin Area Indians.
The Cardinals (1-4) will now prepare for their battle against Our Lady of Lourdes Regional (Coal Township, PA). The Red Raiders come into the non-league battle with a 2-4 record. In their last battle, Our Lady of Lourdes Regional lost by Pottsville (Pottsville, PA), 3-0, in a league battle.
Next, the Indians clash with the Loyalsock Township Lancers (Williamsport, PA) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, September 21. Shamokin Area will attempt to advance on its 5-1 season record. The Lancers come into the battle with a 5-2 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Midd-West (Middleburg, PA).
