The Sequoyah Chiefs volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the visiting Tellico Plains Bears to 0 in the Chiefs non-league victory on Monday.
The Chiefs now possess a 12-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host South-Doyle for a AA District 2 game on Tuesday, September 19. Sequoyah will meet a Cherokees team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Powell (Powell, TN). The Cherokees record now stands at 1-10.
The Bears (1-7) will now prepare for their game against McMinn County (Athens, TN). The Cherokees enter the non-league game with a 2-8 record. In their last game, McMinn County was dropped by Walker Valley (Cleveland, TN), 3-0, in a league game.
