East Coweta Indians (Sharpsburg, GA) supporters left the game pleased Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Troup County Tigers (LaGrange, GA), 8-1 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, East Coweta improves its record to 7-1 on the year. The Indians host Whitewater (Fayetteville, GA) to face the Wildcats in a non-league contest on Friday, September 20. The Wildcats enter the contest with a record of 4-5. Whitewater lost 6-0 in their recent non-league contest against McIntosh (Peachtree City, GA)

The Tigers now hold a 1-3 record. They play next when they host Upson-Lee for a non-league contest on Thursday, September 19. Troup County will face a Knights squad coming off a 15-4 non-league loss to Sandy Creek (Tyrone, GA). The Knights record now stands at 1-2.
