Fans at Wednesday's league battle between the Sunrise Mountain Miners (Las Vegas, NV) and the host Cimarron-Memorial Spartans (Las Vegas, NV), saw Sunrise Mountain's soccer squad knock off Cimarron-Memorial by a count of 2-0.

The Miners (2-6) will now prepare for their battle against Coronado (Henderson, NV). The Cougars enter the 5A Southern battle with a 13-0 record. In their last battle, Coronado tipped Palo Verde (Las Vegas, NV), 1-0, in a league battle.

Next up, the Spartans battle the Western Warriors (Las Vegas, NV) in a 5A Southern battle, on Friday, September 20. Cimarron-Memorial will attempt to upgrade on its 0-6 season record. The Warriors enter the battle with a 5-5 record after their 3-1 league win over Arbor View (Las Vegas, NV).
