The Lions (8-7) will now prepare for their bout against Jonesboro (Jonesboro, GA). The Cardinals go into the 4A Region 3 bout with a 3-8 record. In their last bout, Jonesboro was routed by Harris County (Hamilton, GA), 15-0, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Braves clash with the Model Blue Devils (Rome, GA) in a 1A D-I Region 6 bout, on Thursday, September 19. Heard County will attempt to advance on its 13-6 season record. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a 4-9 record after their 13-1 league loss to Haralson County (Tallapoosa, GA).
