In Wednesday's league challenge, the host Cuba-Rushford Rebels volleyball team scored a 3-0 victory over the Hinsdale Central Bobcats.

The Rebels (2-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Genesee Valley (Belmont, NY). The Jaguars enter the Section 5 Allegany County challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last challenge, Genesee Valley was beaten by Bolivar-Richburg (Bolivar, NY), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Bobcats meet the Houghton Academy Panthers (Houghton, NY) in a Section 5 Allegany County challenge, on Friday, September 20. Hinsdale Central will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Panthers enter the challenge with a 1-2 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Rochester School for the Deaf (Rochester, NY).
