In Wednesday's non-league challenge, the host Seneca Fighting Irish volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Gardner-South Wilmington Panthers.

The Fighting Irish (15-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Marquette (Ottawa, IL). The Crusaders come into the Tri-County challenge with a 8-4 record. In their last challenge, Marquette beat Indian Creek (Shabbona, IL), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Panthers play the Clifton Central Comets (Clifton, IL) in a River Valley challenge, on Thursday, September 19. Gardner-South Wilmington will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record. The Comets come into the challenge with a 3-12 record after their 2-0 league loss to Illinois Lutheran (Crete, IL).
