With the win, Leflore County improves its record to 8-1 on the season. The Tigers travel to Riverside (Avon, MS) to encounter the Bulldogs in a Class 2A Region 3 battle on Thursday, September 19. The Bulldogs go into the battle with a record of 9-6. Riverside won 3-0 in their recent league battle against O'Bannon (Greenville, MS)

The Greenwaves now own a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Side for a Class 2A Region 3 battle on Thursday, September 19. O'Bannon will encounter a Gators squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Leflore County (Itta Bena, MS). The Gators record now stands at 0-11.
