Massachusetts High School Volleyball - Swampscott over Salem

Fans at Wednesday's league contest between the Swampscott Big Blue (Swampscott, MA) and the visiting Salem Witches (Salem, MA), observed Swampscott's volleyball team top Salem by a count of 3-0.

The Big Blue (5-2) will now prepare for their contest against Malden Catholic (Malden, MA). The Lancers enter the non-league contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Malden Catholic notched a victory over Wilmington (Wilmington, MA), 3-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Witches battle the St. Mary's Spartans (Lynn, MA) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, September 19. Salem will attempt to move on its 2-4 season record. The Spartans enter the contest with a 1-4 record after their 3-0 league loss to Bishop Fenwick (Peabody, MA).
