The Burns Bulldogs football squad scored 28 points and limited the visiting Shelby Golden Lions to 16 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Bulldogs now sport a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to West Lincoln for a non-league test on Thursday, September 25. Burns will meet a Rebels squad coming off a 22-20 non-league loss to Shelby (Shelby, NC). The Rebels record now stands at 1-3.

With the defeat, Shelby drops to 2-3 on the campaign. The Golden lions travel to Stuart W. Cramer (Belmont, NC) to meet the Storm in a non-league test on Thursday, September 25. The Storm come into the test with a record of 3-1. Stuart W. Cramer lost 19-12 in their recent non-league test against Huss (Gastonia, NC)
