The Hilltoppers come into the outing with a 0-1 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Liberty Christian (Lynchburg, VA).

With the loss, Amherst County drops to 2-7 on the campaign. The Lancers travel to Parry McCluer (Buena Vista, VA) to confront the Fighting Blues in a non-league match on Monday, September 22. The Fighting Blues enter the match with a record of 0-7. Parry McCluer lost 2-0 in their recent non-league match against Highland (Monterey, VA)
