The John Paul the Great Academy Guardians edged the host First Baptist Christian Eagles volleyball squad by a final score of 2-1 in Thursday's league game.

Next up, the Guardians face the Bishop Noland Episcopal Day Eagles (Lake Charles, LA) in a non-league game, on Monday, September 22. John Paul the Great Academy will attempt to advance on its 7-7 season record.

The Eagles (0-6) will now prepare for their game against Acadiana Christian (New Iberia, LA). The Lions go into the game with a 7-1 record. In their last game, Acadiana Christian nudged Midstate Homeschool (Alexandria, LA), 2-1, in a league game.
