In Thursday's non-league challenge, the visiting George Wythe Maroons volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Fort Chiswell Pioneers.

The Maroons (5-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Grayson County (Independence, VA). The Blue Devils come into the non-league challenge with a 0-9 record. In their last challenge, Grayson County went down by Giles (Pearisburg, VA), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next up, the Pioneers face the Galax Maroon Tide (Galax, VA) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, September 23. Fort Chiswell will attempt to advance on its 5-5 season record. The Maroon Tide go into the game with a 9-0 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Bland County (Rocky Gap, VA).
