Fans at Thursday's league contest between the Hancock County Indians (Sneedville, TN) and the visiting Washburn Pirates (Washburn, TN), observed Hancock County's volleyball team top Washburn by a count of 2-0.

The Indians (2-1) will now prepare for their battle against Eagleton College & Career Academy (Maryville, TN). The Royals go into the battle with a 11-6 record.

The Pirates now own a 2-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cherokee for a non-league battle on Monday, September 22. Washburn will encounter a Chiefs squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Washburn (Washburn, TN). The Chiefs record now stands at 1-0.
