Highland Rams (Monterey, VA) backers were pleased Thursday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the host Parry McCluer Fighting Blues (Buena Vista, VA), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Rams (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Craig County (New Castle, VA). The Rockets come into the non-league challenge with a 3-1 record.

Next, the Fighting Blues meet the Amherst County Lancers (Amherst, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, September 22. Parry McCluer will attempt to upgrade on its 0-7 season record. The Lancers go into the test with a 2-7 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Jefferson Forest (Forest, VA).
