Independence 76ers (San Jose, CA) backers were pleased Thursday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the visiting San Jose Bulldogs (San Jose, CA), 2-0 in a league challenge.

The 76ers (5-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Milpitas (Milpitas, CA). The Trojans come into the non-league challenge with a 9-3 record.

Next, the Bulldogs meet the James Lick Comets (San Jose, CA) in a test, on Tuesday, September 23. San Jose will attempt to improve on its 3-5 season record. The Comets go into the test with a 0-2 record after their 2-1 league loss to Overfelt (San Jose, CA).
