Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Midway Raiders (Dunn, NC) and the host Spring Creek Gators (Seven Springs, NC), observed Midway's volleyball team top Spring Creek by a tally of 2-0.

The Raiders (11-1) will now prepare for their contest against Cape Fear (Fayetteville, NC). The Colts go into the non-league test with a 7-4 record. In their last test, Cape Fear achieved victory over Terry Sanford (Fayetteville, NC), 2-0, in a non-league test.

The Gators now own a 1-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hobbton for a non-league test on Monday, September 22. Spring Creek will encounter a Wildcats team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Union (Rose Hill, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 0-9.
