North Carolina High School Soccer - Providence knocks off Ballantyne Ridge

The Providence Panthers soccer squad scored 5 points and held the host Ballantyne Ridge Wolves to 0 in the Panthers league victory on Thursday.
The Panthers now hold a 9-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ardrey Kell for a Southwestern 7A/8A contest on Thursday, September 25. Providence will face a Knights team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Watauga (Boone, NC). The Knights record now stands at 8-2.
The Wolves (5-4) will now prepare for their contest against Rocky River (Mint Hill, NC). The Ravens enter the Southwestern 7A/8A contest with a 0-11 record. In their last contest, Rocky River was overwhelmed by Palisades (Charlotte, NC), 9-0, in a league contest.
