New Bedford Whalers (New Bedford, MA) backers exited the stadium pleased Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team beat the visiting Brockton Boxers (Brockton, MA), 4-0 in a league outing.

The Whalers (4-2) will now prepare for their outing against Durfee (Fall River, MA). The Hilltoppers go into the Southeast outing with a 2-5 record.

Next up, the Boxers play the Boston College High Eagles (Boston, MA) in a non-league outing, on Monday, September 22. Brockton will attempt to improve on its 1-6 season record. The Eagles go into the outing with a 3-1 record after their 2-1 league win over Malden Catholic (Malden, MA).
