Central Valley Academy Thunder (Ilion, NY) fans went home in high spirits Thursday as they observed their soccer squad knock off the visiting Holland Patent Golden Knights (Holland Patent, NY), 2-0 in a league outing.

The Thunder (4-3) will now prepare for their outing against Whitesboro (Marcy, NY). The Warriors go into the TVL West outing with a 3-2 record. In their last outing, Whitesboro got by Rome Free Academy (Rome, NY), 4-1, in a league outing.

Next up, the Golden Knights confront the South Lewis Falcons (Turin, NY) in a non-league outing, on Saturday, September 20. Holland Patent will attempt to advance on its 0-1 season record. The Falcons come into the test with a 1-2 record after their 3-1 non-league win over Adirondack (Boonville, NY).
