In Thursday's league outing, the host Newman Catholic Fighting Cardinals soccer squad scored a tight 6-2 victory over the Gresham Community Wildcats.

The Fighting Cardinals (3-3) will now prepare for their outing against Northland Lutheran (Mosinee, WI). The Wildcats go into the Central Wisconsin 8 test with a 4-4 record. In their last test, Northland Lutheran edged Tri-County (Plainfield, WI), 2-0, in a league test.

The Wildcats now have a 0-6 record. They take the field next when they host Northland Lutheran for a non-league test on Thursday, September 25.
