The Alexandria Cardinals volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the visiting Moorhead Spuds to 2 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Cardinals now have a 5-9 record. They play next when they travel to Apollo for a Central Lakes outing on Monday, September 22.

With the loss, Moorhead drops to 5-3 on the campaign. The Spuds host Eagan (Eagan, MN) to play the Wildcats in a non-league outing on Friday, September 19. The Wildcats come into the outing with a record of 7-1. Eagan won 3-0 in their recent league outing against Shakopee (Shakopee, MN)
