In Thursday's non-league challenge, the host Tuscaloosa Academy Knights volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the American Christian Academy Patriots.

The Knights (8-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Northside (Northport, AL). The Rams go into the non-league test with a 21-2 record. In their last test, Northside gained a win over Oak Grove (Bessemer, AL), 2-0, in a non-league test.

The Patriots now sport a 8-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Holt for a 4A Area 6 test on Monday, September 22. American Christian Academy will face a Ironmen squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Bibb County (Centreville, AL). The Ironmen record now stands at 0-4.
