Auburn Eagles (Riner, VA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they observed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Northwood Panthers (Saltville, VA), 3-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Eagles (8-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Bland County (Rocky Gap, VA). The Bears enter the Mountain Empire challenge with a 4-3 record.

Next, the Panthers meet the Chilhowie Warriors (Chilhowie, VA) in a Hogoheegee challenge, on Tuesday, September 23. Northwood will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record.
