In Thursday's league challenge, the visiting Bishop Diego Cardinals volleyball team scored a close 3-2 triumph over the St. Bonaventure Seraphs.

The Cardinals (12-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Marina (Huntington Beach, CA). The Vikings come into the non-league challenge with a 16-6 record. In their last challenge, Marina edged Edison (Huntington Beach, CA), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Seraphs face the Villanova Prep Wildcats (Ojai, CA) in a Tri-Valley game, on Tuesday, September 23. St. Bonaventure will attempt to advance on its 13-3 season record. The Wildcats go into the game with a 5-10 record after their 3-0 league loss to Cate (Carpinteria, CA).
