In Thursday's league challenge, the visiting Charlottesville Black Knights volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Orange County Fighting Hornets.

The Black Knights (2-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Monticello (Charlottesville, VA). The Mustangs come into the Jefferson challenge with a 2-6 record. In their last challenge, Monticello was beaten by Albemarle (Charlottesville, VA), 3-1, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Fighting Hornets face the Halifax County Comets (South Boston, VA) in a non-league test, on Saturday, September 20. Orange County will attempt to upgrade on its 0-7 season record. The Comets come into the challenge with a 3-5 record after their 3-0 league win over George Washington (Danville, VA).
