North Carolina High School Volleyball - Hickory Grove Christian bounced by Gaston Christian

Gaston Christian Eagles (Gastonia, NC) boosters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Hickory Grove Christian Lions (Charlotte, NC), 3-0 in a league test.

With the win, Gaston Christian improves its record to 11-7 on the season. The Eagles travel to Gaston Day (Gastonia, NC) to face the Spartans in a NCISAA Metrolina Athletic test on Friday, September 19. The Spartans go into the test with a record of 9-1. Gaston Day won 3-0 in their recent league test against Hickory Grove Christian (Charlotte, NC)

The Lions now own a 1-9 record. They play next when they host SouthLake Christian Academy for a NCISAA Metrolina Athletic challenge on Tuesday, September 23. Hickory Grove Christian will meet a Eagles team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to High Point Christian Academy (High Point, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 2-7.
