California High School Volleyball - Yerba Buena ripped by Gilroy

September 18, 2025: Gilroy, CA 95020

The crowd at Thursday's league battle between the Gilroy Mustangs (Gilroy, CA) and the visiting Yerba Buena Aztec Warriors (San Jose, CA), saw Gilroy's volleyball squad notch a victory over Yerba Buena by a score of 3-0.

With the win, Gilroy improves its record to 7-3 on the season. The Mustangs host Lincoln (San Jose, CA) to encounter the Lions in a BVAL - Santa Teresa East battle on Tuesday, September 23. The Lions go into the battle with a record of 6-7. Lincoln lost 2-0 in their recent non-league battle against Gunn (Palo Alto, CA)

The Aztec Warriors now own a 4-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Terra Nova for a non-league contest on Saturday, September 20. Yerba Buena will meet a Tigers team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Capuchino (San Bruno, CA). The Tigers record now stands at 1-10.
