Glen Lake Lakers (Maple City, MI) backers were pleased Thursday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Leland Comets (Leland, MI), 3-1 in a league challenge.

The Lakers (6-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Buckley (Buckley, MI). The Bears come into the Northwest challenge with a 12-5 record. In their last challenge, Buckley beat Brethren (Brethren, MI), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Comets meet the Traverse City Christian Sabres (Traverse City, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, September 23. Leland will attempt to upgrade on its 3-12 season record. The Sabres go into the test with a 12-5 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Kalkaska (Kalkaska, MI).
