Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Gordo Green Wave (Gordo, AL) and the visiting Hale County Wildcats (Moundville, AL), saw Gordo's volleyball squad achieve victory over Hale County by a score of 3-0.

With the win, Gordo improves its record to 4-4 on the season. The Green Wave travel to Carbon Hill (Carbon Hill, AL) to face the Bulldogs in a 3A Area 10 test on Tuesday, September 23. The Bulldogs go into the test with a record of 11-2.

The Wildcats now own a 1-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sipsey Valley for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 23. Hale County will face a Bears squad coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Northside (Northport, AL). The Bears record now stands at 10-8.
