Nebraska High School Volleyball - Kearney over Grand Island

Fans at Thursday's league contest between the Kearney Bearcats (Kearney, NE) and the visiting Grand Island Islanders (Grand Island, NE), saw Kearney's volleyball squad notch a victory over Grand Island by a score of 3-0.

With the win, Kearney improves its record to 7-7 on the season. The Bearcats host Lincoln East (Lincoln, NE) to encounter the Spartans in a A District battle on Tuesday, September 30. The Spartans go into the battle with a record of 5-11.

The Islanders now own a 5-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lincoln North Star for a non-league battle on Friday, September 19. Grand Island will encounter a Navigators squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Norfolk (Norfolk, NE). The Navigators record now stands at 9-1.
