Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Hackleburg Panthers (Hackleburg, AL) and the host Red Bay Tigers (Red Bay, AL), observed Hackleburg's volleyball team top Red Bay by a count of 3-1.

The Panthers (5-5) will now prepare for their contest against Phillips (Bear Creek, AL). The Bears enter the 1A Area 13 contest with a 0-10 record. In their last contest, Phillips was knocked off by Brilliant (Brilliant, AL), 3-0, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Tigers encounter the Lamar County Bulldogs (Vernon, AL) in a 2A Area 10 battle, on Tuesday, September 23. Red Bay will attempt to improve on its 12-11 season record.
