In Thursday's league challenge, the host Lincoln Cardinals volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Ida B. Wells Guardians.

The Cardinals (9-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Grant (Portland, OR). The Generals come into the 6A Portland Interscholastic challenge with a 9-5 record. In their last challenge, Grant beat McDaniel (Portland, OR), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Guardians meet the La Salle Falcons (Milwaukie, OR) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 20. Ida B. Wells will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record. The Falcons go into the test with a 6-4 record after their 3-0 league win over Canby (Canby, OR).
