The Jones Trojans volleyball squad (Trenton, NC), was edged 3-2 in Thursday's league battle with the host Lejeune Devilpups (Camp Lejeune, NC)

With the win, Lejeune improves its record to 4-6 on the season. The Devilpups host Pamlico County (Bayboro, NC) to encounter the Hurricanes in a Coastal Plains 1A/2A contest on Tuesday, September 23. The Hurricanes enter the contest with a record of 8-7. Pamlico County won 3-0 in their recent league contest against Southside (Chocowinity, NC)

Next, the Trojans battle the East Carteret Mariners (Beaufort, NC) in a Coastal Plains 1A/2A contest, on Tuesday, September 23. Jones will attempt to move on its 6-5 season record. The Mariners enter the contest with a 6-6 record after their 3-1 league win over Northside - Pinetown (Pinetown, NC).
