California High School Volleyball - Redlands East Valley bounced by Redlands

The Redlands East Valley Wildcats volleyball squad (Redlands, CA), dropped 3-0 in Thursday's league contest with the host Redlands Terriers (Redlands, CA)

The Terriers (16-4) will now prepare for their contest against Citrus Valley (Redlands, CA). The Blackhawks go into the Citrus Belt battle with a 3-13 record. In their last battle, Citrus Valley was defeated by Yucaipa (Yucaipa, CA), 3-0, in a league battle.

The Wildcats now own a 7-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cajon for a Citrus Belt battle on Tuesday, September 23. Redlands East Valley will meet a Cowboys team coming off a 3-1 league loss to Beaumont (Beaumont, CA). The Cowboys record now stands at 8-9.

Redlands swept rival REV 3-0 (25-8, 25-11, 25-21) (its 9th consecutive against the Wildcats) to move to 17-4 on the season. Kameryn Carpenter led the attack with 15 kills (.480) and 5 aces, totaling 20 points. Sophia Ezinwa was efficient in the middle with 4 kills (.600), and Jocelyn McNairy added 2 kills (.667).
