Fans at Thursday's league contest between the Spanish Springs Cougars (Sparks, NV) and the host Reno Huskies (Reno, NV), observed Spanish Springs's volleyball team top Reno by a count of 3-0.

The Cougars (17-6) will now prepare for their contest against Reed (Sparks, NV). The Raiders enter the 5A Northern - High Desert contest with a 12-8 record.

Next, the Huskies encounter the McQueen Lancers (Reno, NV) in a 5A Northern - High Desert battle, on Tuesday, September 23. Reno will attempt to improve on its 9-6 season record. The Lancers go into the battle with a 11-9 record after their 3-1 league win over North Valleys (Reno, NV).
