Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Weaver Bearcats (Weaver, AL) and the visiting Wellborn Panthers (Anniston, AL), observed Weaver's volleyball team top Wellborn by a count of 3-0.

The Bearcats (12-4) will now prepare for their contest against Ashville (Ashville, AL). The Bulldogs enter the non-league battle with a 24-2 record. In their last battle, Ashville achieved victory over Southeastern (Remlap, AL), 2-0, in a non-league battle.

The Panthers now own a 1-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ranburne for a non-league contest on Saturday, September 20. Wellborn will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 3-1 league loss to Horseshoe Bend (New Site, AL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 10-9.
