The East Surry Cardinals topped the visiting Mount Airy Granite Bears volleyball team by a score of 2-0 in Monday's non-league test.
The Cardinals now have a 8-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Surry Central for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 20. East Surry will confront a Golden Eagles team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to North Surry (Mount Airy, NC). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 2-8.
The Granite Bears (2-9) will now prepare for their test against Alleghany (Sparta, NC). The Trojans enter the non-league test with a 3-8 record. In their last test, Alleghany was knocked off by Starmount (Boonville, NC), 2-0, in a non-league test.
