Heartland Mustangs (Belton, MO) fans were thrilled Monday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Clinton Christian Academy Patriots (Clinton, MO), 3-2 in a league challenge.
Next, the Mustangs confront the Kansas City East Christian Academy Lions (Kansas City, MO) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, September 23. Heartland will attempt to better on its 2-1 season record. The Lions enter the challenge with a 10-2 record after their 7-1 non-league win over Northeast Kansas Nighthawks HomeSchool (Topeka, KS).
The Patriots now have a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Plaza Heights Christian Academy for a MOKAN Christian challenge on Tuesday, September 20. Clinton Christian Academy will confront a team coming off a 4-2 league loss to Center Place (Independence, MO). The record now stands at 5-1.
