The Oxford Prep Griffins soccer team scored 7 points and limited the host Excelsior Classical Academy Flying Lions to 2 in the Griffins non-league victory on Monday.

Next, the Griffins face the Voyager Vikings (Durham, NC) in a Triangle North 1A contest, on Thursday, September 22. Oxford Prep will attempt to better on its 2-8 season record. The Vikings enter the contest with a 5-1 record after their 1-0 league win over Vance Charter (Henderson, NC).

The Flying Lions now have a 0-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Eno River for a non-league contest on Thursday, September 22. Excelsior Classical Academy will face a Bobcats team coming off a 7-4 league win over Henderson Collegiate (Henderson, NC). The Bobcats record now stands at 7-2.
