Armuchee Indians (Rome, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Temple Tigers (Temple, GA), 9-8 in a non-league challenge.

The Indians now own a 7-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Chattooga for a 1A D-I Region 7 challenge on Thursday, September 22. Armuchee will face a Indians squad coming off a 8-0 league loss to Dade County (Trenton, GA). The Indians record now stands at 10-5.

With the loss, Temple falls to 5-11 on the campaign. The Tigers host Heard County (Franklin, GA) to face the Braves in a 1A D-I Region 4 challenge on Tuesday, September 20. The Braves enter the challenge with a record of 9-7. Heard County lost 9-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Bremen (Bremen, GA)
